1、
Well, that's a wrap. E3 2019 was a massive year for announcements, and we had some really promising titles for handheld platforms announced. Mobile was quiet, however the new Microsoft streaming service and Google Stadia did certainly talk the big talk throughout.

So, here we are. 51 of the biggest E3 news stories all in one place for you.

Original Post:

While we were away for the weekend the games industry kept churning away, and as a result we've returned to find ourselves in the fray. We'll be here this week to cover everything mobile and handheld from the E3, and E3 adjacent, events as they happen, and this'll be the place to come to find it compiled it into one handy post for your browsing pleasure. This'll be trailers, news and opinions, all straight from the minds of the world's biggest mobile and handheld website.

This is a live post, we'll be adding new pages as the news breaks or we get to it, so feel free to bookmark us or just leave us open and hit refresh every now and then. And, if there's something you feel like we've missed then let us know in the comments below.

As we're not running a weekly Switch round-up this week, we'll start off with a few pieces of pre-E3 news pieces, and get rolling from there.

I don't know about you, but I'm expecting this post to be heavily Nintendo Switch centric rather than iOS or Android mobiles. Disappointing for certain, but then that's hardly a surprise when you look at previous years and the strange relationship between the mobile, home console and PC marketplaces.

-
So many games have us being guided by someone on the end of a radio. But Mayday! Deep Space inverts that by having you guide a survivor on a spaceship using only your voice.

Using over 10 voice commands, you have to get the survivor through five levels of virus-infected crew inside the USS Appaloosa.

You'll find out what happened on board the ship as you do, and will have to make various choices that lead you to one of four endings.

There are also a few chances to explore and collect secrets that you wouldn't find by sticking to the most direct route through the levels.

What's particularly neat about Mayday! is its interface. It turns your screen into a walkie-talkie. So you have to hold a button to talk into it when giving commands.

Goodness me, would you look at the time? It's Tuesday, July 10th, the sun is shining, and - woah, wait! It's the App Store's birthday. Happy birthday, App Store!

First launched on July 10th 2008, the App Store started off with only 500 apps to work through. Sure, that sounds like a lot, but not compared to the endless seas of apps and games available today. Over the course of ten years the App Store changed the way people used their phones, for better and for worse, and pretty much defined mobile gaming as a whole.

The arrival of the App Store really did open doors for all companies - from a one-man crew to huge studios, and from big budget projects to indie brands. It also paved the way for mobile games with an incredible focus on community. Just look at how people banded together when playing Pokemon GO in 2016 (excluding the idiots who GO'd while driving).

As each year passes, mobile gaming become more and more recognised in the mainstream media as a major part of the industry. I could say a lot more about that but for now, here's to ten more years.

*raises glass*
